E. M.
EM (she/her) is a sensitive empath, intuitive claircognizant, and tarot interpreter who currently lives and works on unceded Tongva land (presently called Long Beach, CA.) EM was inspired to create Cloister Mysticism in the summer of 2020 in response to the psychic violence of capitalism and from the desire to enlarge & reclaim access to healing and self-empowerment.
EM cultivates a tarot practice rooted in Lindsay Mack’s articulation of “Soul Tarot” and has taken several courses from Lindsay Mack including: Tarot for the Wild Soul (2019, 2020); Tarot for What is (2019); Inner Voice (2020); and Heart of Service (2020).
Trained in cultural criticism, EM holds B.A.s in French and Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Utah as well as an M.A. in Visual and Cultural Studies from the University of Rochester. Her academic work involved feminism in film, sexual textuality, queer temporality, and medieval mysticism.
